Maths
Maths is an integral part of everyday life at Gill Blowers, just as it is in the real world. 
Children are exposed to numbers, shapes, space and measures through the everyday exploration of the curiosity and natural thinkers objects and activities provided.
Adults skilfully scaffold individual children’s mathematical knowledge and understanding through both planned activities and child led conversations and play.
We track and assess maths alongside the Prime areas of learning for all our children from when they join us aged 2. In the 3-4 rooms maths is directly taught daily differentiated ability groups, specifically structured to extend each child’s mathematical expertise.
