Parliament Time
At Gill Blowers, we celebrate British Values by recognising children as individuals and active participants in their own learning experiences; we listen to children valuing their ideas, interests and motivations. The children engage in daily ‘Parliament Time’ sessions to evaluate their learning in order to plan their own next steps. The children’s voice, interests and ideas provide a starting point which is balanced by direct teaching of skills and knowledge. Staff facilitate and scaffold learning using carefully framed questions to develop the children’s knowledge.
